Stripy Driftwood Bed

This striking handmade bed will provide an array of colour and intrigue in your bedroom.

The head and tail board have been carefully constructed using a wide variety of reclaimed and sustainable woods, creating a balanced stripy effect that shows off the unique beauty of the individual pieces used. Fused together in a fan shape, each piece has been hand picked to display the natural qualities of the different woods: beautiful knots and burrs, loops and whirls of grain, pattern this eye-catching colourful bed.

Individually selected pieces of driftwood have been used to form the posts of this stunning bed frame, which are attached to the side pieces and join together with the headboard and tailboard using traditional mortise and tenon joints.

The headboard and tailboard detach easily from the side pieces, and have been carefully designed to be easy to reassemble in your home.

The wood is suitable to be used untreated, but if oiled will take on richer colours, so oiling depends on personal preference. We use high quality Organoil, which will ensure a lasting and beautiful finish.
