These sturdy teaching tools are designed to withstand the elements and will add an aura of mystery to any outdoor education session. Storytelling chairs embody the spirit of the ancient Welsh Bardic contest or Eisteddfod (from the Welsh words Eistedd and Bod, literally “to be seated”) providing a firm foundation for pupils to grasp the wonders of the spoken word.

We source our materials from the windswept shores of the West Wales coastline and the sustainably managed woodlands close to our home, each part has already had quite a journey before it becomes part of a chair! The natural forms of the wood and timber echo the twists and turns of the plot, capturing the imagination and focusing the attention. We like fresh ideas and can turn your vision into a bespoke object that will be a vehicle for stories that children and adults will never forget.
